In 1937, during Nanjing’s darkest hours, the German John Rabe, together with more than 20 foreign nationals, established the Nanjing Safety Zone International Committee, providing refuge for over 250,000 civilians.

For more than 80 years, the Rabe family’s bond with Nanjing has endured. From December 11 to 14, 2025, Christoph Reinhardt, John Rabe's great-grandson, visited Nanjing, retracing his ancestor’s footsteps and continuing this cross-border legacy of compassion.

Join us in witnessing this journey of remembrance and legacy.
