Journal of Japanese Invasion of China and Nanjing Massacre is a professional academic journal (quarterly) dedicated to research on the Japanese invasion of China and the Nanjing Massacre. It is publicly distributed both domestically and internationally. The journal is under the supervision of the Publicity Department of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, hosted by the Memorial Hall of the Nanjing Massacre Victims by Japanese Invaders and Nanjing Publishing House, and supported academically by the Institute for National Memory and International Peace Studies and The Research Association of the History of  Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders. Since its establishment in 2018, the journal has consistently adhered to the correct editorial direction, maintained a focus on academic frontiers, preserved its professional characteristics, and committed to building a first-class academic platform. With the care and support of readers, authors, and various sectors of society, the journal's quality and academic influence have continued to rise. It has been selected as a "Source Journals of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI)," a "New Core Journal of the China Humanities and Social Sciences Journal AMI Comprehensive Evaluation," an "Important Source Journal for Reproduced Articles," one of the "Most Popular Journals of the National Center for Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation," and one of the "First Batch of Young Scholar-Friendly Journals."

Call for Papers: Topics

Research areas such as the Nanjing Massacre, the Japanese invasion of China, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, modern and contemporary Sino-Japanese relations, the issue of "comfort women," and peace studies all fall within the scope of publications for this journal. Particularly, outstanding research on the Nanjing Massacre is highly welcomed and will be prioritized for publication.

Submission Requirements:

1. Manuscripts submitted must not have been published in any public publications or on any online platforms.

2. Authors must comply with the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China and academic norms. Plagiarism, copying, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited. Simultaneous submissions are not permitted.

3. Submissions should generally be no less than 10,000 Chinese characters and must include a Chinese abstract (within 300 characters), keywords (3-5), and an English abstract.

4. If the research is supported by the National Social Science Fund or provincial/ministerial-level research projects, please mark the article title with "" and indicate the project name and number in a footnote.

5. The manuscript format should follow the style of past issues of this journal. Avoid excessive heading levels, and use the sequence: I., (1), 1.

6. Citations and notes should be standardized, uniformly presented as footnotes, numbered separately on each page as ①②③...

7. Please include the author's name, affiliation, position, professional title, academic degree, year of birth, as well as mailing address, postal code, mobile phone number, and email address at the end of the manuscript.

8. Please submit manuscripts to the designated email address, and indicate the author's name, affiliation, and article title in the "Subject" field.

Other Notices

1.This journal does not charge any article processing fees or review fees in any form, and has never entrusted any organization or individual to solicit manuscripts or collect submissions on its behalf.

2.This journal uses manuscript quality as the sole criterion for acceptance, strictly implements a double-blind peer review system. If no acceptance notification is received within 3 months, authors may handle their manuscripts elsewhere. We regret that we cannot inform each author individually.

3.While respecting the author's original intent, this journal reserves the right to edit manuscripts. Authors who do not agree to editing should state so in their submission.

4.In accordance with the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China, all articles published in this journal are granted the journal an exclusive license to use the work by the author(s). Once a submission is accepted, it is deemed that the author(s) grant this journal the publishing rights, online dissemination rights, reproduction rights, and compilation rights for the article.

5.This journal is fully indexed by the National Social Sciences Database, CNKI, Chaoxing Periodicals, and CQVIP. By submitting to this journal, authors are deemed to agree to the copyright agreements between the magazine and the aforementioned publishing platforms. Published articles may be included, reprinted, and distributed online by them. The one-time remuneration paid to authors upon publication already includes the copyright royalty for inclusion in the aforementioned electronic publications or databases.
