The Institute of Nanjing Massacre History and International Peace，one of the first nine high-end think tanks in Jiangsu province was established on November 10, 2015 and began officially to operate on March 1, 2016. . The Institute serves the general strategy of national policy and strengthens  the research on the history of the anti-Japanese war. Focusing mainly on  the history of anti-Japanese war the history of Nanjing Massacre, the history of Sino-Japanese relations , contemporary Japan studies, and Peace Studies , the institution devotes itself to the basic research and policy-making consulting  of the historical truth of war crime, war memory, public cognition, international communication, and so on. It not only pays attention to academic research, but also pays more attention to the collection, collation, research and evaluation of cutting-edge dynamic information and makes response. It has achieved certain influential research results and was selected into the source think tank of Chinese Think Tank Index (CTTI) of Nanjing University.
