Zijin Grass International Peace School is a non-profit school established by the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders for the purpose of popularizing historical knowledge of Nanjing Massacre, which aims to promote the international spreading of history concerning with Nanjing Massacre and the “Comfort Woman” system in order to memorize the history and cherish peace. Since the first class began on June 5, 2017, Zijin Grass International Peace School combines teaching and practice together by holding expert lectures, inviting the victims to tell their experiences on the spot, communicating with the curator, etc.. These programs together allow overseas students to have a deep understanding and thinking about the history of Nanjing Massacre.

The Zijin Grass International Peace School mainly targets on foreign students and a few domestic students who are preparing to study abroad as the training objects. Training time will be set accordingly to different demands of students in every term. Training content mainly includes: English seminars on history of Nanjing Massacre taught by guest historians;   visiting the Memorial Hall and the Exhibition Hall of the Site of Lijixiang Comfort Women Station; visiting the original site of the safe zone in those days; having face-to-face talks with the survivors; participating in artistic creation, such as designing hand-made Zijin grass bookmark which symbolizes “peace”, and so on. After the completion of courses, the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders will also issue the certificate of completion to students.

By the end of June, 2018, over 400 overseas students from more than 30 countries have participated in the study program of Zijin Grass Peace School.
