In May, more than 1,000 primary and middle students from Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao, Xinjiang, Anhui and other regions of China visited the Memorial Hall. They visited the Nanjing Massacre Exhibit, recited excerpts from Minnie Vautrin’s diaries, and attended the ceremony of presenting flowers and ringing the Bell of Peace. A close “touch” of the history allowed the students to sense the hard won peace.
