On September 21, the International Day of Peace, nearly 300 foreign students studying in Nanjing gathered at the Memorial Hall, passing on the memory of the world and spreading the voice of peace. They come from 34 countries like Afghanistan and Egypt. Some student representatives struck the Bell of Peace, before all the students visited the Nanjing Massacre Exhibit. Later, they each took a yellow rose, a symbol of peace and friendship, and jointly put the flowers into the Chinese characters for “peace” on the Peace Wall of the Epilogue in the Memorial Hall, with the song Heal the World playing.
