"The seeds of flowers, come from the other side of the sea;carrying hopes, they take root and bloom here; flowers of peace, Zijin Grass..." On the afternoon of March 27th, in the theatre of the Nanjing Jianye District Children’s Palace, the melodious tune slowly began to play, and the "RememberHistory, CherishPeace" Zijin Grass Choir Concert officially kicked off.

The members of the Japanese Zijin Grass Choir performed the "Zijin Grass Suite," using their heartfelt and soothing voices to delicately interpret this piece, which is filled with reflection on history and a longing for peace. The suite consists of 12 movements, each one resembling a unique musical painting, vividly recreating the peaceful and harmonious scene of Nanjing before the war, the painful scenes of the Nanjing Massacre, and the journey of Zijin Grass crosses the seas to be spread to Japan.

Among the performers on stage this time, three members are already 88 years old. Though their hair has turned gray, the moment they step onto the stage, they are fully immersed, using their voices to recount their remembrance of this history.

The children of the Nanjing Zijin Grass Children's Choir are dressed in purple gowns, their faces glowing with vibrant smiles, and their small hands gently swaying to the melody. With their clear voices and youthful energy, they perform songs like "Peace Blows Over Zijin Grass," "Red Dragonfly," and "The Peaceful Children's Song." Their singing is like the sunlight of spring, warm and full of hope.

When the members of the Japan Zijin Grass Choir and the Nanjing Zijin Grass Children's Choir sang the Chinese traditional folk song "Jasmine," the audience responded with enthusiastic applause, and the atmosphere of the concert reached its climax. The choirs from both countries harmonized their voices, transcending national and age boundaries to play a moving and harmonious anthem of peace.

At the performance venue, the audience area was packed to capacity. When the lights came on, the audience held their breath, their eyes fixed on every movement on stage, immersed in every detail of the performance. Only the voices on stage echoed through the space.

As the final note of the chorus of "The Flower of Peace, Zijin Grass", was sung on stage, the elderly Japanese man with white hair warmly embraced the Chinese children. This scene was heartwarming and profoundly moving, striking a chord with the audience, many of whom couldn't help but shed tears of emotion.
