On October 29, China's Double Ninth Festival, also known as "Senior Citizens' Day", the Memorial Hall held birthday banquets for Wang Yilong and Xue Yujuan, both 102-year-old survivors of the Nanjing Massacre.

Grandpa Wang Yilong and Grandma Xue Yujuan sat together with their family members and staff of the Memorial Hall. The Zijin Cao Children's Choir kicked off the birthday banquet with the song "Ballad of Peace".

The entire audience joined in singing "Happy Birthday" together, and the two elderly survivors cut the birthday cake side by side.

The children gathered around, painting the Chinese character for "longevity" on longevity peach together with Grandpa and Grandma, wishing them lasting happiness, good health, and a long life.
