Two Victims of the Japanese Army’s “Sex Slaves” System Died
On the afternoon of August 29, Wang Zhifeng, a victim of the Japanese Army’s “Sex Slaves” System, passed away in Chengmai County, south China’s Hainan Province, at the age of 99.
Wang was born in 1924. One day, Wang went out to borrow rice, but unfortunately, she met some Japanese soldiers on her way home. Wang, then 16 years old, was taken to a “Sex Slaves” Station. She was ordered to dig trenches during the daytime, and forced to become a sex slave to Japanese soldiers at night. She would be beaten cruelly by the Japanese soldiers as long as she showed even a little resistance. The scars left on her body, along with the pain in her heart, stayed with her for life.
On August 30, Grandma Yang (who did not wish to disclose her name), another victim of the Japanese Army’s “Sex Slaves” System, passed away in Pingjiang County, central China’s Hunan Province, at the age of 100.
