As the memory of Nanjing becomes the memory of the world, people of different nationalities have an opportunity to learn about those days of blood and tears, becoming a listener of history and a sower of peace. On the Tomb-Sweeping Festival this year, Zijin Cao international volunteer Amanda, a 22-year-old girl from the United States, brought the visitors back to those days from her own perspective.

Amanda is pursuing a masters degree in Chinese language in Nanjing University. She became an international volunteer of the Memorial Hall three years ago. Amanda often publishes posts about the history of the Nanjing Massacre on overseas social media platforms such as Facebookand Instagram, sharing what she saw and heard at the Memorial Hall. She wants more people around the world to learn about this history.
