Zijin Cao Art Troupe Set up to Tell China’s Stories in Songs
On March 18, the signing ceremony for the Zijin Cao Art Troupe was held at the Memorial Hall. The troupe was jointly initiated and set up by the Memorial Hall, the Nanjing Municipal Education Bureau, and the Women’s Federation of Nanjing City. Dedicated to integrating art into education, the troupe will play a role in educating more people about the history and the importance of peace through art works, which are popular among the public, hold great audiovisual appeal, and have a strong emotional impact.
At the signing ceremony, children from the Zijin Cao Art Troupe performed songs including “Chorus of Nanjing Refugees” and “Growth”. The ethereal and beautiful music gave expression to people’s aspirations for remembering history and cherishing peace.
“We will attach more importance to art education and build the Zijin Cao Art Troupe into a resident art troupe of the Memorial Hall that is among the best art troupes in China and that has a global influence on conveying the idea of building a human community with a shared future,” said Zhou Feng, director of the Memorial Hall.
