Memorial Hall Opened Facebook Account “Nanjing Memorial” to Tell the World the Truth of History and Express Hope for Peace
Every January 27 is the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust. On January 27 this year, Memorial Hall launched its official Facebook account, “Nanjing Memorial”. Together with the English-language website of the Memorial Hall, the account is expected to offer overseas people access to the truth behind the Nanjing Massacre and serve as a platform for research and communication.
Some Western journalists and righteous people from around the world were the first to report the Nanjing Massacre to the international community. The first post of the account focused on reports about the Nanjing Massacre published by foreign newspapers or righteous people to spread the truth about the tragedy to the world. They included The Associated Press, Reuters, The New York Times, The Manchester Guardian Weekly, and Pravda, among others.
Covering subjects such as history research, stories and exhibitions, the “Nanjing Memorial” account will dig deep into the stories behind the Nanjing Massacre and present #Truth of Nanjing Massacre, #Survivors in Nanjing Massacre, #Volunteers in Nanjing, and #Peace Mission with Zijin Grass, among other columns, to convey to the world the message that the world should learn from history, cherish peace, and jointly create the future.
In the future, the account will be launched in other platforms like Twitter.
