Seven years ago, on October 9th ,2015, the Archives of Nanjing Massacre was successfully listed into the Memory of the World Registerof UNESCO.A camera thatrecorded the evidence of the Nanjing Massacre, together with the film,was an important part of it.

In October, the Memorial Hall released the fifth episode of the cultural relic story series,which revisits the story of this camera.During the Nanjing Massacre, John Magee, an international friend, resolutely stayed in Nanjing at the risk of his life and secretly recorded the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders with this camera, which became the only moving image of the Nanjing Massacre that has been found so far.In 1946, at the Tokyo Trial, it became one of the most direct and powerful evidence of the tragic Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders.
