56 Groups of Overseas Chinese from 28 Countries and Regions Mourned Together for Nanjing Massacre Victims
This year, 56 groups of overseas Chinese from 28 countries and regions in the world, including Canada, Argentina, Italy, Hungary, Thailand, Malaysia and South Korea, responded to the initiative of the Overseas Chinese Association of Nanjing and theMemorial Hall, held candlelight vigils to mourn the victims of the Nanjing Massacre and to pray for world peace in their residence countries. On the eve of the public memorial, the Memorial Hall made 28 display boards of historical facts on the Nanjing Massacre and provided them to overseas Chinese associations to hold an historicalfacts exhibition titled "Human Holocaust:1937 Nanjing Massacre" in their residence countries.

Affected by COVID-19 pandemic, groups of overseas Chinese in many countries and regions were unable to organize mass rallies. Overseas Chinese Association of Nanjing specially organized leaders of overseas Chinese communities and member representatives who were in Nanjing and held an “Online Rally” with representatives from 11 countries including South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, Thailand. They watched the live broadcast of the National Memorial Ceremony for Nanjing Massacre victims, and carried out memorial services simultaneously.
