Wilhelmina "Minnie" Vautrin was an American missionary who saved thousands of  Chinese women and children at Ginling College during World War II.

On this day in 1886, she was born in the small town of Secor, Illinois.  Today is her birthday. Visitors to the Memorial spontaneously presented  chrysanthemum to her as it was her favorite.

Salute to Wilhelmina Minnie Vautrin!
