Sing for Peace on the International Day of Peace
On the afternoon of September 21, the International Day of Peace, the theme event “Sing out Loud” was held at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders. All the members of the Purple Grass Choir sang songs Let the World be Full of Peace(Rang Shi Jie Chong Man He Ping) and Ode to Peace. The choir members, student representatives and the audience sang the song Let the World Be Full of Love (Rang Shi Jie Chong Man Ai) together.

Curator of the Memorial Zhang Jianjun said: “The Memorial Hall is a space for historical education and for spreading peace. The purpose of setting up the Purple Grass Choir is to realize the purpose of "Remembering History and Cherishing Peace", as well as to make the staff feel their historical responsibility in everyone’s ordinary position.
Yu Hua is a conductor in America and the Vice President of Nanjing Chorus Association. She said: “In front of the statue of peace, in the Peace Square of the Memorial Hall, they sing the world classic Let the World Be Full of Love and the original Chinese song Ode to Peace, which is of great significance. The Purple Grass Choir has a mission to preach peace. I felt a special responsibility as the conductor: this is not only to sing well, but, more importantly, to preach peace.”
