Students from Taiwan Experience Resistance War History on the  Original Sites

May 27-28, students from the Elite Taiwan Training Class of Nanjing History  and Culture came to the place of historical education and experienced the  Resistance War history on its original site.

You Su-zhu, Leader of the Training Class, Retired Teacher

Taiwan and Mainland are separated by long distances, but the history and  culture are inseparable. This time, a group of young people came to Nanjing and  we hope that they can pass the sincerity and kindness of the people in Mainland  back on to Taiwan.

Chen Peng-yu, Student

After entering the memorial, I felt an inexplicable sense of sadness.  Vaguely did I feel the pain as if there was knife slashing the skin and bullets  hitting the flesh. I’ll be remembered to the end of my life.

Xiong Zhe-liang, Journalist

This time I took my boy to Nanjing in the hope that he can see the  development and construction of the motherland. Now there is very little content  in the textbook about this period of history. I hope that more youngster come  here to learn about it.

Xiong Zhen, Student, the son of XiongZhe-liang

Some photos have left me with deep impression. In one of the photos, an old  man is holding his son that has passed away in his arms, and he looks very sad.  I hope the history doesn’t repeat.

  History goes down and deep.

It grieves people and it wakes them up.

Looking forward to visitors from all around the world

  in the city of Nanjing

  to “touch” the history.
